How does Incra send ATO correspondence?

ATO correspondence is considered sensitive information, so Incra utilises ATO SmartDocs to ensure your info is kept secure and safe.

At Incra we want the very best standard of data security for our client's personal information. To achieve this for tax correspondence we use ATO SmartDocs. This app enables us to send ATO communications to you in a way that is much more secure than attachments on email.

The system simultaneously sends an email with a download link and an SMS with a security pin. Yes, we're asking you to click a link, no, it's not spam!

This is what the email looks like:

If you want us to change the email address, mobile number or recipient at any time, just let us know. You can contact any of the team or send a request to hello@incragroup.com.au

If you ever get an SMS but not an email - check your Junk folder. If you still can't find it, get in touch with us!

And for those client groups where there's centralised management of ATO correspondence through an internal accountant, bookkeeper or CFO, please be aware that documents are sent individually rather than grouped onto a single email.

But... is it really secure?

As hackers get smarter and more persistent, we need to stay a step ahead. By sending the ATO correspondence to you in a way that can only be accessed by someone that has both your inbox and your mobile phone we've eliminated the risk of an email hack exposing your sensitive information.
